The husband-and-wife CPA team of Bloom CPAs and Advisors is looking to grow! We are recruiting an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in sunny Melbourne, Florida. Responsibilities & Desired Skills
- Preparation of complex tax returns (individual, corporate, trust, and partnership returns)
- Perform services within budgeted time by developing technical, time management, and organization skills
- Ability to analyze tax issues and come to conclusions
- Assist clients with advanced tax planning issues and strategies
- Perform diversified accounting and tax assignments under the direction of a manager, director, or partner
- Develop and maintain quality client relationships and loyalty
- Proficient at tax research including a knowledge of the reference sources available to the firm
- Understanding of tax regulations and ability to communicate to clients and team
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices
- Supervise accounting staff
Requirements
- 4-year Degree in Accounting and 3 years’ experience or 8 years’ experience
- Accounting software experience
- Self-driven, demonstrates initiative and able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to prioritize workload and remain organized
- Ability to train and supervise accounting staff
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Adept in client communication and fostering business relationships
Bloom CPAs and Advisors is a new CPA firm created when Erik and his wife Shannon purchased the firm Erik had worked at for over 16 years. The firm specializes in accounting, tax and consulting for business and individuals. A strong emphasis on services to small and medium size businesses has made us a favorite among business owners who rely upon our advice year-round. Shannon also owns a sister CPA firm that specializes in government compliance, controller services, and project management so there are plenty of opportunities for professional growth and cross-training. Finally, there is an associated wealth management firm which makes us even more indispensable to our clients tying in financial planning, tax planning and asset protection planning. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
