Shannon Bloom CPA, CPE is originally from a small town in North Carolina, her accounting career has taken Shannon to U.S. Air Force accounting offices at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington DC, Yokota Air Base, Japan, and finally Patrick Air Force Base, Florida.
During her 11-year tenure with the United States Air Force, Shannon’s career focused on both appropriated (tax dollars) and nonappropriated (revenue generated) accounting, reporting, and auditing. Since leaving the Department of Defense (DOD), Shannon has worked in corporate and small business accounting, including small business federal contracts.
With a background in fraud prevention and internal controls, I earned the COSO Internal Controls Certification in 2018 and became a Certified Fraud Examiner in 2020.
Shannon has called Brevard County her home since 2012. Shortly after her arrival, Shannon met her husband, Erik, who at the time, was a senior staff accountant working for Bouvier & Associates, in Melbourne, Florida. Shannon and Erik acquired Bouvier & Associates as Bloom CPAs and Advisors in April of 2023. The small business atmosphere and rich community made it the perfect place for Shannon’s life and career.
